Tenor BX Series - Basic Rate Digital VoIP Gateway and MultiPath Switches

The Tenor second generation digital series switches give multi-location enterprises an easy, cost-effective way to capitalize on the power of Voice over IP (VoIP). Quintum have responded to the SME market by bringing in the A-tick and C-tick approved BX range of Tenor gateways.

With its MultiPath architecture, the Tenor connects to the data network through a 10/100 Ethernet interface, and to the enterprise and public voice network through BRI interfaces. From this position, the Tenor employs its patent-pending SelectNet™ technology to monitor calls for jitter, packet loss, and latency, and can transparently switch mid-call to the voice network whenever conditions demand.

SIP or H.323 calls are accepted at the Tenor gateways, and the Tenor can be employed in front of any PABX solution, and intelligently routes calls without the users having to change dialing patterns. If your sites have a mix of digital and analog lines, a Tenor solution will let you communicate just as well.

Tenor BX204 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Four channel VoIP switch with two BRI ports and one 10/100 Ethernet port. Includes the following features: MultiPath architecture, SelectNet QoS based switching, SIP user agent, built-in H.323 mini-gatekeeper (supports up to 4 Tenor switches). Supports four simultaneous voice calls over the IP network.

Tenor BX408 VoIP Multipath Switch
Eight Channel VoIP switch with four BRI ports and one 10/100 Ethernet port. Includes the following features: MultiPath architecture, SelectNet QoS based switching, SIP user agent, built-in H.323 mini-gatekeeper (supports up to 4 Tenor switches). Supports eight simultaneous voice calls over the IP network.

Tenor BX816 VoIP Multipath Switch
Sixteen Channel VoIP switch with eight BRI ports and one 10/100 Ethernet port. Includes the following features: MultiPath architecture, SelectNet QoS based switching, SIP user agent, built-in H.323 mini-gatekeeper (supports up to 4 Tenor switches). Supports 16 simultaneous voice calls over the IP network.

PacketSaver TM is an upgrade for all-Quintum networks where bandwidth usage needs to be minimized. Quintum’s patented PacketSaver algorithms allows you to reduce bandwidth by half, and maintain QoS across the lines

Configuration, Installation and Support

Quintum units can be configured to your dial plan and needs, and installed on site by engineers if needed. Support over business hours, or 24/7 can also be arranged as needed.
