Tenor AX Series - Analog Voip Gateway

The Tenor AX range gives businesses with many line analog voice infrastructures a great way to capitalise on the power and savings of Voice over IP using their legacy PABX/Key Systems while providing a path to upgrading to IP PBX.

With its MultiPath architecture, the Tenor connects to the data network through a 10/100 Ethernet interface, the voice network through either PBX or phone, and the public switched telephone network. From this position, the Tenor employs its patent-pending SelectNet™ technology to monitor calls for jitter, packet loss, and latency, and can transparently switch mid-call to the existing PSTN voice network whenever conditions demand. New generation Tenor gateways support SIP or H.323 protocols, and NAT AccessTM solution ensures effective traversal through existing firewalls.

Product Description

Tenor AXM800 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Eight channel VoIP switch with 8 analog FXS ports and 8 analog FXO ports, and one 10/100 Ethernet port. Includes the following features: MultiPath architecture, SelectNet QoS based switching, SIP User agent, built-in H.323 mini-gatekeeper (supports up to 4 Tenor switches). Supports up to 8 simultaneous voice calls over the IP network. The unit connects to analog extensions and/or analog phone lines.

Tenor AXM1600, AXM2400 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Similar to the specifications for the AXM800 unit, these models provide 16/24 VoIP channels as well as 16/24 FXS and FXO ports.

Tenor AXG800 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Eight channel VoIP switch with 8 analog FXS ports, and one 10/100 Ethernet port. Can be connected to 8 analog handsets or fax devices as needed. Includes the following features: MultiPath architecture, SIP user agent, built-in H.323 mini-gatekeeper (supports up to 4 Tenor switches). Supports up to two simultaneous voice calls over the IP network.

Tenor AXG1600, AXG2400 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Similar to the specifications for the AXG800 unit, these models provide 16/24 VoIP channels as well as 16/24 FXS extension ports.

Tenor AXE800 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Eight channel VoIP switch with 8 analog FXS ports, 2 analog FXO ports, and one 10/100 Ethernet port. Can be connected to 8 analog handsets or fax devices as needed as well as to 2 analog lines to allow access to PSTN network through the gateway (for example to freecall numbers or emergency numbers.) Includes the following features: MultiPath architecture, SIP user agent, built-in H.323 mini-gatekeeper (supports up to 4 Tenor switches). Supports up to two simultaneous voice calls over the IP network.

Tenor AXE1600, AXE2400 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Similar to the specifications for the AXE800 unit, these models provide 16/24 VoIP channels as well as 16/24 FXS extension ports and 2 x FXO ports for connection to analog PSTN lines.

Tenor AXT800 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Eight channel VoIP switch with 8 analog FXO ports, and one 10/100 Ethernet port. Can be connected to 8 analog PSTN lines or extension ports off a KTS/PABX as needed. Includes the following features: MultiPath architecture, SIP user agent, built-in H.323 mini-gatekeeper (supports up to 4 Tenor switches). Supports up to two simultaneous voice calls over the IP network.

Tenor AXT1600, AXT2400 VoIP MultiPath Switch
Similar to the specifications for the AXT800 unit, these models provide 16/24 VoIP channels as well as 16/24 FXO analog line ports.


Options

PS-8AX
Upgrades AX series Tenor gateways to employ PacketSaver TM technology, reducing bandwidth needed between Tenor units by up to half. For expensive bandwidth solutions this upgrade will ensure minimal data traffic. Commonly employed with satellite links and busy gateways. This can reduce the per-call VoIP bandwidth needed to under 10kbps on the popular G.729 codec from Quintum to Quintum gateway.

PS-16AX, PS-24AX
Similar to the specifications for the PS-8AX, this upgrade on the AX*1600 and AX*2400 respectively can reduce bandwidths needed for VoIP calls by saving on header traffic.

GK-20AX
Upgrades a Quintum AX unit to have an integrated gatekeeper for a network of up to 20 gateways. By default only 4 gateways can form an H.323 network without employing this upgrade at one site.

GK-120AX
Similar to the GK-20AX unit this allows for expansion of a Quintum VoIP network, so that up to 120 gateways can be registered to one integrated Quintum AX gateway/gatekeeper. Needed for large Quintum H.323 networks.

CO-10AX
10 foot (3 metre) cable sold separately to AX units. 50 Pin Female Telco connector to open ends for punch down.

CO-6AX
6 foot (2 metre) cable sold separately to AX units. 50 Pin Female Telco connector to 50 Pin Female Telco connector.
